Instructions
-
11. Cut your tofu into slices that are about 1 inch thick, or adjust the size to your preference. Place the slices on a paper towel to dry.
-
22. While the tofu is drying, mix together the soy sauce, sweetener, gochugaru, sake, mirin, and dashida in a bowl. Adjust the flavors according to your taste.
-
33. Dice your green and yellow onions, and jalapeños. Mince the garlic as well.
-
44. Heat some oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu slices and cook until both sides are golden brown. Once done, remove the tofu from the pan and set it aside.
-
55. In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed, then add the diced yellow onions, jalapeños, and minced garlic. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
-
66. Once the onions become somewhat transparent, pour in the sauce you prepared in step 2.
-
77. Stir everything together, adding water as needed to achieve your desired consistency.
-
88. Finally, return the tofu to the pan and mix everything together.
-
99. Enjoy your dish!

10Optional: You can garnish with extra green onions and roasted sesame seeds at the end to enhance the presentation!
